September Re-opening
Both myself and the staff are delighted for the return of all our children on Tuesday 1st September. To make school and the surrounding area as safe as possible for children, staff and parents, we have made some necessary changes to school timings and its organisation. As you are probably aware, attendance at school in September will be mandatory for ALL pupils.
Each class will start school at different times, they will have different lunchtimes and designated play times and they will spend the majority of their time in the designated classroom. When in the classroom, children will sit at forward facing tables as much as possible, with access to their own personal tray and resources for the school day. However this does not apply to our new children in class 1 in accordance with the current government guidelines. Classes will not mix with any other class bubble in school unless your child is attending Breakfast club or After School Care provision which can be booked in the usual way.

From the September 1st children will be allocated to their year group
I have summarised some of the procedures we will need to adhere to upon our return to Holy Trinity RC Primary:
- Only 1 parent will be allowed to enter the school premises with your child.
- There will be a one-way system in place for parents so that social distancing can be maintained. On arrival the pedestrian gate and footpath will be used and when exiting the premises, it will be via the gate near the office and through the car park. This will be clearly signposted.
- Parents who have siblings in two or three different classes we ask you to bring the children at the earliest drop off time and the earliest pick up time.
- Parents will be encouraged to not gather on school premises in groups as advised by the guidelines.
- Each group will be provided with a 5 minute drop off and collection time for each child. This is extremely important to limit numbers of people on site at any one time.
- Signage and social distance markers will be placed around the school to assist you
- We will continue to have social distance tape on the yard at the collection points for the children which will be spaced 2m apart. Please stand on one of these markers and we will then collect and return pupils from the classroom doors one at a time.
- Children will be asked to bring water bottles to school as we are not using the water fountains.
- Children will be asked to use their reading bags and they may use a lunch box if on pack lunches but to not bring any other items in from home.
PPE
At the present time the government are stating that PPE is not a requirement in schools and is not advising it is worn by staff and pupils
