CYCLE A 2023 - 2024

This half-term, we will be reading Wonder by R J Palaccio. 

 

  

Class 4 loved their trip to Whitehough where they learnt the importance of teamwork and overcame some of their fears. 

We have been learning about other faiths in RE. 

Year 5 enjoyed their taster day at Fisher-More Humanities College. They had different lessons such as RE, Food Technology, History and Geography. 

CYCLE B - 2022-2023

 

This half-term, Class 4 will be reading Holes by Louis Sachar which links to their geography unit of 'Would you like to live in the desert?'

                                                                                

 

Religious Education

As it is the month of June, we remember the Sacred Heart of Jesus in our prayers.   We will be learning about our new RE topic, 'Called to Serve'  where the children will think about how they could serve others as Jesus reminds us that it is better to serve than to be served.

Jesus reminded us in Mark’s Gospel (Chapter 10:43) that

“Anyone who wants to become great among you must be your servant”

 

CYCLE A - 2021-2022

A great way to end the school year with a field trip to the Lake District. The children used their Geography skills in the morning then learnt some new art skills in the afternoon using natural resources to print.
