General Information

PE:

PE will be on a Monday and a Wednesday.  Please could your child come to school in their PE kits on these days.

Homework is set on Fridays and is due the following Wednesday. The children will have spellings, reading and some maths, grammar or research.

Times tables

Times tables are really important and children are expected to know all their times tables by the end of year 4 where they sit a Multiplication assessment. Please practise these with your child as often as possible.

Spellings: The children learn words from the Year 5/6 word lists and spelling patterns for year 5 and 6. They are tested on a Friday.

Reading: Reading is so important for children's progress, and we ask that children read with an adult every night. Reading records should be signed frequently. Reading books are changed on Tuesdays and Fridays.

Thank you in anticipation of your support.
