Gardeners and Seeds

We begin the year with a special Gardeners and Seeds assembly in which our Year 6 Gardeners welcome their Reception Seeds. The Gardeners promise to look after and pray for their Seed all year long to help them settle in and grow as wonderful children of God.

Harvest

We celebrate the Harvest Festival with a liturgy prepared and led by Pupil Chaplains. During this we give thanks for all that we have, and all the wonderful food we bring in to share with the elderly in our community. 

 

Advent

Preparing for Christmas, we celebrate an Advent Mass in which we reflect on the achievements and challenges of the first term. We thank God for all his help and we pray especially for all those who face difficulties over this Christmas season. Our Pupil Chaplains attended the Advent Mass at Christ Church each Friday lunchtime. 

 

We all joined in a special Advent liturgy with Father Gerard. All the children had written Advent pormises on a a hand print and these were made into a wreath. 

 

Nativity

We share the story of the Nativity with the whole school, relatives and our parish community. The Infant children lead us in the story of the Nativity with acting and singing, reminding us all about the focus of the season.
