Lancashire School Games Baton Relay 2022

The Lancashire School Games / Commonwealth Baton arrived in Pendle this week having made its way across Lancashire in the previous months. Our school received it on Tuesday from Pendle Primary Academy and passed it on to Lomeshaye Junior School.  The baton was passed on to the neighbouring school by whatever means we chose in show of friendship and in the spirit of sport on the week commencing Mon 2nd May.

Since we have the baton in the borough overnight on Wednesday 4th May, families were invited to join us taking the baton to the top of Pendle Hill. It was great to see families and their children joining the group. Once the summit is reached, the baton was passed in an under / over fashion to all that were present.
